One Sugar Cube please

The other night I was driving with my daughter and we were both enjoying the music as we drove into the night from a wonderful dinner together.  Halfway thru the canyons, I was navigating a couple of thoughts dawned upon me with respect to the concept of the tipping point.

In my mind I was wondering at what stage do we start to allocate all our energies into giving the younger generation the best knowledge and wisdom we have.  At it's simplest form, it was enriching to be instilling confidence and love into a young lady and being there for her.

On a more complex note, it is a gratifying emotion, that if you do one thing right in this lifetime, it is to care for your offsping and to be there for them as they enter the world.  Naturally, the caring takes many forms from education about life, telling them you love them and support them to gently reprimanding them when they've made a mistake.

Joys are manifested in simpler things for me nowadays, whether it is in making one person I come in contact with smile each day, or to a lengthy discussion with my daughter about life, politics and music.  Is this the scary confession, called growing up ? Not sure how to answer this one...

I guess, my pleasure from one teaspoon of sugar nowadays, is so much greater than the three spoonfuls I use to enjoy...hmmm

Parents are a blessing! To a young lady a mom is there for you ALL the time. She is a friend, a mom, and the concious that you always go back to. For a young lady a dad is not usually as close to the girl, but it is amazing how she would always love to talk to her dad, trying to make use of every word he would say. A dad to a young girl is always the person she looks up to. Life experiences, opinions, education, politics, sports, and CARS :)......... have always been so interesting to knwo about through my dad! At least this was my experience. He is someone you look up to, the person you ask for help, and the person you seek support from. There are always ups and downs to the relationship between the father and daughter but at the end of the day I would sit down and thank God for having the dad I have .... I'm sure you will be that person too to your daughter. HEY good luck as she approaches teenage years ;)

A little push in the right direction can make a big difference.
I don’t think it’s a matter of growing up…its one of the moments that God send to people to show them the real meaning of any thing or every thing.

It’s a little push in the right direction : )
